New Project Folder for our Digital Portfolio Files
Headers for our Portfolio
Headers are also known as "Banners" - they are images that stretch across the top of the web page that label the contents of that page. We already know what pages we will have, so we'll use the same Photoshop text skills that we used on our Category titles. Use the Web ---> Large 1920 x 1080 artboard size and choose a transparent background this time. Keep each title to 1 line of text. Use a big, bold font and the Bevel and Emboss and Drop Shadow, along with colors for Color Overlay, Inner/Outer Glow - make it look nice!

We will export these as PNGs with transparent backgrounds, not JPGs. Save the PSD to your new project folder as:

Easy way to get your headers done using the Photoshop file you already made for you Intro and Categories Titles in the last project.

Working with the Headers on Google Sites took a little getting used to, but it makes sense once you see how the options can be changed. And it is NICE to have options - that's the power of the transparency that PNG images allow.

Examples - yours do NOT have to look exactly like this but notice what is consistent about them and what changes. (Note - the opacity on the drop shadow here is 50% - it looks way too dark otherwise.)
This shows how I named my PNG exports so that they stay in the same order that they appear in the website.
